For the 50,000-square-foot eye hospital project in Jabalpur, I took on the responsibility of developing an innovative external cantilever façade that aimed to reduce heat gain while supporting vertical landscaping features. My role involved extensive research and application of sustainable design principles to enhance indoor comfort for patients and staff alike, while also focusing on reducing operational costs. By analyzing environmental data and incorporating design elements that optimize natural light and ventilation, I was able to contribute to a solution that not only met the project’s aesthetic goals but also prioritized energy efficiency. This project significantly deepened my understanding of the relationship between architectural design and building performance, highlighting how thoughtful design choices can lead to substantial reductions in energy consumption. Working alongside architects and engineers, I honed my ability to balance aesthetic considerations with functional requirements, which ultimately led to a design that fosters a healing environment and enhances the overall user experience.
