The Stinger bus stop redesign project aims to transform Georgia Tech’s Stinger shuttle stop by utilizing innovative material combinations and intricate joinery details. Drawing inspiration from the Honeycomb (Hexagon) structure, which symbolizes Georgia Tech’s mascot, the design concept marries symbolism with functionality. The hexagonal motif embodies collaboration and efficiency, reflecting the core spirit of Georgia Tech. Through the use of advanced materials and precision joinery, the Stinger TechHub aspires to be a dynamic transit hub, representing unity, knowledge, and progress.
This project is designed to create a cutting-edge space that aligns with Georgia Tech’s commitment to technological advancement while simultaneously fostering a strong sense of community and excellence among its users. By reimagining this shuttle stop, the design aims to enhance the overall experience for students, faculty, and visitors, making it not just a transit point but a vibrant gathering space that encourages interaction and collaboration.
